Alverton (Al-v-er-ton)
Alverton is the Capital of the Great Bear Empire and the Alverton Duchy; it is located near Asmer Bay on the eastern coast. Home to the Ravenswood family, the city has been known as the largest and richest city in the kingdom for years.
Demographics
The city is the most diverse in all of the Empire. Its majority lies in the Blæc and Anso subspecies, many being the noble classes. The Mirrac make many of the working class. The Saurbøre make up a majority of the city watch and military.
Defences
The city has a moat on the outside with a drawbridge over it. It has 40-foot (~12.2 meters) stone walls with a ballista on each round tower.
Industry & Trade
The city has many businesses located inside. It is the producer of mead, ale, beer, and wine, with silver and gold decor being another. They have a large tourist boom with the Særian portals reopening in Nirmir.
Infrastructure
The city has vineyards and wineries located inside the city. It has large fields of wheat, potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers. Blacksmiths, silversmiths, and goldsmiths were plenty throughout the city.
Districts
The Eastern Slums:
The Eastern Slums are large areas of poor working-class citizens living and working. Located in the southeastern part of the city, the land is full of dense, wooden, 2-story homes.
The Grape district:
The Grape district is where the large meaderies, vineyards, and breweries are located. The region is located in the northwestern part of the city and houses the families that call these businesses life.
The Golden District:
The Golden district is located in the east-central region of the city near the Keep. It houses large commercial businesses like silversmiths, goldsmiths, and banks.
The Castle District:
The Castle district is the center of the city. It houses the Keep and the large royal courtyard. It is home to the King and his servants.
The Trade District:
The trade district is in the westernmost part of the city on the coast of Asmer Bay. It houses the port and the smaller stores that many of tourists inhabit.
The Housing District:
The Housing district is located in the south of the city. It is the primary living quarters for many of the city's inhabitants
History
The city was founded by the Avenmore back in 20 YSC where it has been the capital of their empire for years.
Geography
The city is located at the east of the Asmer bay in the grasslands of Hikias.
Climate
The city has a temperate spring with lots of rainfall, hot summers with moderate rain, chilly falls with chances of rain or snow, and a freezing winter with lots of snow.
