Duke

A duke is a royal title native to the Bearfolk society. They rule over the duchies inside of the vast empire and are the 2nd highest title.

Responsibilities

A dukes primary responsibility is to govern the duchy they own. They make sure that there is order in their cities and people.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Removal of a Duke can happen in three ways: Death, Abdication, or by the King. Death is the most common way Dukes are removed and is quite explanatory. Abdication is when a Duke steps down from their power and is replaced with another. Then, A king could remove a Duke from their title if they deem necessary.
