Elija served in The War, along with some of his best friends in a California Militia / Cavalry regiment. There was little action against the Reb's in the far west - mostly just maneuver, small raids and making certain the locals don't go over. Which mostly meant dealing with Mexican Banditos, Apache shenanigans, and one raid all the way out near El Paso. Most importantly, Elija met himself a young lady outr in Prescott with whom he married and settled down. This lasted for a smidge of years, as he took up service with the Arizona Territory Marshalls. This allowed him to rainge all over the territory honing his skills as a lawman and tracker.
But things change, and Elija decided to take up with the current outfit, starting a new chapter as a member of the Hennesies

Kennet Wymont: Chief Marshall of the Yavapai Country, Arizona Territory. Elija still speaks of his former boss with fondness. When asked why he no longer is a marshall, he'll go quiet and non-responsive. Tough as nails, in his 50s, well versed in law and proprietary. A strong believer in the Law and Order as opposed to the chaos of the midwest following the civil war.

Eskiminzin Colorado. Claimant to the post of High Shaman for the Yavapai. Intense hatred. When asked Elija will go bright red and clench his teeth. There iws clearly very bad blood here. Eski is dusky, a bit shorter than usual, with a lazy eye. Manic brilliance.

Kyle Transome Best friend during the war years with dreams to make his wealth back east somewhere. Lanky, mischievous, easy to make friends with. Smart enough likely to succeed. Currently a Sergeant in the CPD
NAME NAME Reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Became friends after the Dicky Manning incident, during the reporting and all of the publicity around the 20 kidnapped and rescued children.

Family Ties

Jacali: 'ex' wife: Elija still speaks fondly, and wistfully of Jacali, and their time together. When asked why their relationship ended he'll go quiet right quick.
