The most predominant forces within the Bright Isles are the Victoraccan Kingdom and the Balkrain Provinces, two great nations from vastly different coasts on the mainland who both seek colonization of the entire island chain. On the Czellian Island hides the Undying Order, a federal system birthed in the last few hundred years from the colonists on the Bright Isles and built around necromancy. Within the drowning rocks exist the last tribes of natives that once dominated these islands, who openly demand revenge and reconquest of their homeland during the few chances explorers manage to see them. In the Red Shards exists a different kind of colonization, in lands so barren no empire wishes to waste even a thought them, bands of exiles and savages fight for supremacy, and a monstrous marauder dictatorship can be seen rising into relevance.
