Salomon

King Salomon de Poher

Salomon has ruled as self-proclaimed King for the last 10 years after the murder of his predecessor Erispoe of House Rohan, the traditional rulers of the Breton lands.   The Viking Jarl Haesten united with Salomon and the Bretons and on 2nd July, 866 defeated a Frankish army at the Battle of Brissarthe .   Two Frankish leaders, Duke of Anjou, Robert the Strong and Ranulf Duke of Aquitaine, were killed. The Emperor Charles (the “Bald”) was forced to accept the Breton’s independence from the Frankish kingdom and allow the expansion of Salomon's territory.   After decades of plots and war, the king knows that despite his triumphs, he cannot sit complacently.   He watches his Danish allies warily.
