Guridokyatcha ((Gor-reed-doh Kee-at-chah))

Basic Information

Anatomy

The guridokyatcha appear to be gold statuettes in the shape of small cats that are encrusted with valuable gems. They are made of solid metal, despite having full range of motion, and even appear to be capable of things like blinking and turning their ears to listen. They tend to be small, like kittens, despite having the mannerisms of an adult feline. Their snouts also appear to be silver with a colored nose and golden whiskers.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Despite the nature of this creature, being the fact that it is made of precious metals and gemstones, it does appear to have a bit of a diet. It's implied that it eats more for pleasure than it does out of necessity. Of course, its diet doesn't include edible foods--finding the taste of lavish, expensive, or otherwise precious items, or just outright currency, to be delicious. It can be seen eating money, gold coins, and even expensive jewelry.

Behaviour

Guridokyatchas behavior is mostly a nomadic one, passing themselves along from one person to the next in order to test them. Around other yokai they can be quite sassy, and a bit pompous. Of course, while other people and species aren't looking, the golden felines are either attempting to consume items of value or commune with fellow yokai and even feral cats--potentially for the purposes of turning them into acolytes under their command. These acolytes are just as much servants as they are helpers when it comes to testing the merit of individuals that come across one of these yokai. At heart they are pranksters, both towards yokai and especially humans who attempt to "steal" the yokai, which is the method they use to test those with a greedy heart. They find it particularly amusing to cast curses upon those who are greedy, though they have a soft spot for those who are genuinely good at heart.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

The facial structure of these yokai can deviate from one to the other, though the overall appearance remains the same, with gemstone eyes and a discolored snout and nose. The type of gemstones that pepper their face, where they are located, and the number of them is different for each one and is a good way of telling them apart.

Average Intelligence

The feline presents an intelligence that is similar to humans, though appears to be mostly materialistic and only cares about when it will get to enjoy another session of binging on valuable objects, or when it will get to pull its next big prank or curse on a human who deserves it or a fellow yokai that it happens to come across.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Since guridokyatchas are yokai, they are sensitive to the spirit world and other yokais, however aside from this they only have the senses afforded to any other cat one might meet. That being said, they appear to have a very good sense of smell despite the nature of their physical forms.

Average Physique
These creatures are about as small as novelty lucky cats tend to be, in fact a bit smaller than even those, much like a semi-grown kitten. Despite their size, they are still solid metal and weigh a hefty amount due to this. This fact doesn't slow them down at all, being quite nimble and seemingly even capable of mitigating the weight they have as they land to avoid making too much noise or causing damage to what they land on. Not that any of this is necessary, since like other yokai of their kind, they can fly.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Much like their faces and heads, the coloration, gemstones, and rarely even the metals, differ between each one of these gold felines and makes for a good way to tell each of them apart. Sometimes they have patterns that are formed by having streaks of silver mixed in with the gold, and other times the gem count and type will be more or less valuable overall. Despite all their anatomies remaining consistent, they come in a wide range of designs.
