The Tallest Branch

"Mommy, can you tell me about the Tallest Branch on the Arengold Tree?"
"Of course, sweetie.

When Filli created the Arengold Forest, the first sprout from the tree appeared almost immediately. This sprout tasted the air, curved upwards, and let out a tiny yawn to the sky. It looked at Ïllume's light, it tasted Ïorreg's rain, it drank Jörreg's air. That sprout would become the Tallest Branch on the Arengold Tree, since no other branch could deny the eldest's authority, and none ever, ever grew above it.

Because of this, on the tallest branch still sits some scraps of the Seed that Filli planted. That Seed piece is blessed with Filli's love and creativity. Any who would be able to find that seed and offer it back to Filli would be blessed with skill and creativity beyond words. They would ascend to demigodhood, immortality would find them.

Three brave artists volunteer to climb the tree. None have ever reached the Tallest Branch; too many creatures are defending the Seed. Too many enemies are keeping the artists from achieving pure enlightenment. But, we know that someday, one artist will have the willpower, the perserverence, to pierce the heavens and get that Seed."

While this legend is passed down most cultures, the Seed is almost exclusively a pursuit of the Elves. Unfortunately, nobody knows that the Seed piece is quite real, and had fallen off of the tree in the year 2412, after millennia of rest. It fell into the hands of a Goblin woman, Buxiba Scrooge, who cooked and ate the seed. She is known as the most talented Goblin artist and sculptor alive.
