Magicrystal Architecture is a revolutionary invention that combines magic with technology. After many failed attempts in the early 4th Era, Dorian Bluefire discovered the material to build magic-powered machines. Together with Selena Akmina, they found the Magicrystal Architecture. It impacted all aspects of the 4th Era and is still base of most machines today.

Magicyrstal machinery is used in most factories on Medius. Private households utilize the technology for diverse devices. It plays a core role in the military sector.

The uncharged crystals can be produced by machine. They had to be charged and re-charged manually by elementary mages, mostly in manufactorys.
Social Impact
With the discovery of steam-powered machinery, artisans, magicians, and some of the then-new mechanics pursued the idea to combine Elemental Magic with machines. Many experts were convinced that it was impossible to combine magic with technology.
Most governments of Medius don't support the research. Only the newly founded Empire of Contrea after the new government overturned the anti-magic law. Many attempts failed, and machines could not withstand the magical strain. Experiments with Mantium failed due to their anti-magical property.
