Session 25: Dead and Alive and In Between

General Summary

When we opened last session, the party’s girls’ night was interrupted by Vincenzo Fiorensi. Surrounded on all sides by corrupt watchwards with readied weapons, Vincenzo posed a compromise to the party – that they only need fight Vincenzo and his gang to the death or to surrender. Should you win, The Watchwards would let them go, providing you made yourselves scarce from then on. With no other way out, the party agreed to Vincenzo’s terms. Miraculously, the party survived, though not comfortably. The same could not be said of Vincenzo, and two of his goons, Abuela and Canes. Tying up the remaining members, Charlene and Cinzia, you enjoyed a well-deserved long rest. Lestie bade goodbye to Baptiste Malatesta, with the vague hope of seeing one another some other time, in this world or the next. Outside in the Pipes you discovered to your horror, that the patrons of The Shining Serpent had been brutally massacred. A dying half-orc woman told you that one woman in particular was responsible for the carnage: S; who you now know to be named Sinara.
You returned through the pipes to The Black Clover’s steamship, sniffing out any traces of Sinara with little success. You convinced the quartermaster to let you explore the metal hull of the boat, paying particular attention to Vincenzo’s cabin, where you found admittance papers for an inpatient in the Olympus Sanatorium in Kannis, the very same address Vincenzo called out before dying. The patient? His sister, Vincenza. Varis’s old flame. You disembarked.
