The lone goddess protector of the Kingdom of Valira, fire and fury, ash and dust. The battle goddess that destroyed the Tyrant King Nethis.
Little is know about Soots, the Goddess of Ash before her ascendancy, she appeared at some point in the lowlands of Valira not long after the Nethis Crusades. Quickly proving her divinity to the outlawed and hunted people of the destroyed old kingdom of Valira. She began aiding them in a rebellion that would last for a further eight years and participated in numerous battles ambushes and attacks against the Nethis occupiers. Hiding her true identity and abilities, Soots portrayed herself as a warrior of exceptional power during this time. She would later become the sole patron goddess of the New Valiran Kingdom restored in the year 706. She continues to protect the kingdom to this day and has shown no desire to become affiliated with other gods or pantheons to the north and south of Valira. She is somewhat unique in both her status as a goddess in her own right without any previous background or heritage with other deities and her ability to remain apart and distant from squabbles between the other gods on Calera.
Soots, is a recent ascendant Goddess, her mortal followers are almost all based within Valira and her place of residence is the High Seat, a towering fortress that also serves as the home for the kingdoms ruling family. Worship of Soots is very relaxed and she is such greatly loved by the people, she spends most of her time strolling the streets and roads, talking and helping out with everyday tasks. On occasion she can found within local taverns drinking and enjoying the revelry much like an ordinary mortal.
