I am known as The Wanderer, the lonely Goddess of History, secrets and hope. This is my story of Calera, filled with mistakes, gaps and missing information. Let it serve as a record for those unwilling to repeat the failures of those that came before.
My Story
My story like so many, has a beginning and likely it will have an end. I was a very different kind of person back then and the memories of my early years are not pleasant. I remember flashes of information, colours and lights. Hunger was the predominant drive, a constant pull that was so strong I can still remember it even now. But at some point the veil lifted, I could reach out and actually see the world in front of me, It was like being born a second time, not only seeing, but understanding.   My first meeting with another of my kind happened not long after my awakening, the name was given to them Varic, and mine was Laeona. We would become fast friends and hateful enemies in time, but for many ages we worked together dutifully continuing the great works of our people. We were shown the world of Calera and our place in it by an elder of our kind. They were many times more powerful than us and we accepted their control meekly. None of the elders of ort kind were ever pleased with my skills, performance or abilities but showered praise upon Varic. I did not resent this, Varic was bigger, stronger, smarter and never questioned the tasks given to him. I on the other hand always tried to understand the meaning, I was curious and the elders would often become frustrated with my slower pace.
Followers
Like the other gods, my followers and worshippers are spread across the world of Calera. A small cult of scholars and historians living in the ruins of the old Kessian capital still venerate my ideals and try to follow my teachings. I visit them every now and then to try and help with what I can. Others around the world follow me out of curiosity or desperation. I have few shrines and no grand temples and priesthoods. This I very thankful for, often the attention causes more problems than it's worth.
I have stood before cruel kings of great empires that have spanned the world and the worlds beyond our own. I’ve stood before vain, power hungry gods and resisted their tyrades and blistering efforts to destroy my mind. I’ve seen the greatest magics and sorceries lay waste to cities and armies, enough to sink the earth and rip apart the sky.   But never before have I laid eyes upon a being that resonates with such malice and madness. I knew then, in that moment, the full breadth of its unending hatred and attention and for a brief instant it was fully aware of me.   Not only was I completely at its mercy, with all my power stripped from me in an instant, but I knew without question that any other god would been destroyed in an instant and it took all of my willpower to simply resist. In what could only have been seconds I realised that this… thing.. Was far greater, more dangerous and more powerful than I could have possibly imagined.
