The Book of Damned Souls
The dark lord carries on his person an artifact of great and dark power. The pages of the tome are made of flesh and penned in blood, they bindings are of a dark and twisted metal that bends into horrific faces and vicious looking creatures, that appear almost real, and appear to move in when viewed in the corner of one’s eyes. It is commonly thought by those with knowledge of the books existence that this is a spell tome authored by the Dark Lord, but in fact it is much older and darker than that, though the dark lord has certainly added material to the book over the centuries and expanded on the dark and twisted ideas.
In truth the book was originally discovered by the first undying Khan before he came to rule & has since corrupted and twisted his soul beyond any recognition. Through him the book unleashed new eras of dark magic upon Thar’kor again & again. The book was created by Demogorgon after the portal gate was activated as a means of bringing his influence back into Thar’kor and eventual destroying the portal gates.
The book is unnatural and demonic, and the living nature cannot stand to be in its corrupting presence, withering and killing all plants withing 30 feet of the book at any time. Animals cower and retreat from it and people feel ill and fearful in its presence. No creature of the material plane can possess the tome without being either corrupted or destroyed by its power over time. The book is integral to the Dark Lords plan. It contains five very important rituals for the Dark lords plans, firstly is the ritual to create Lich’s and Death knights who compromise the leadership of his armies, the ritual that binds them to his control, the ritual to Summon the Dark Lord back from death, the ritual to destroy the Great Gate and the ritual to summon Demogorgon into Thar’kor.
