Calari

Subrace (High Elf)

The Calari are a subspecies of elves distinguished by their striking golden runes that glow in response to their emotions, serving as a visible testament to their deep connection with magic. They played a crucial role in the founding of Elyndor, where their innate magical talents helped shape the city’s early development. Highly attuned to arcane energies, the Calari excel in spellcasting and are known for their exceptional abilities in manipulating magical forces. Their runes not only reflect their emotional state but also serve as a reminder of their rich cultural heritage. As guardians of arcane knowledge, the Calari are on a quest to rediscover the lost truths of their past, striving to reclaim their identity and legacy in a world that has largely forgotten them.

Politics

The Calari are a highly magical and insular society, with their leaders and elders deeply respected for their mastery of ancient arcane practices. Traditionally conservative, the Calari have long valued isolation and self-preservation, but the increasing presence of humans, standard elves, and other species in Elyndor has begun to disrupt their rigid social structure. Though still resistant to outside influence, younger generations of Calari are more open to new ideas, creating subtle tensions within their once-unified society.
