Beorn

Beorn (pronounced "bern"), also known as Gigas, was one of the Antiquities, considered the first-born of creation in the Acacian religions, and universally considered the progenitor of the Beornic Races: Men, Elves, and Zwergin. He is considered synonymous with the Ancient of Days in Semelism.   It is agreed by all that Beorn was among the most esteemed of the Antiquities, and a jealous enemy of Lothracha, desiring to ursurp him as Lord of the World. To accomplish this, he took a wife from the Unsouled (ancient biological progenitors of the Beornics), and fathered three sons: Amellion (the ancestor of the Elves), Barsabbas (the ancestor of Men), and Gamaliel (the ancestor of the Zwergin). Each of these three sons had Beorn's Nomos, and were therefore sapient like the Saura of Lothracha's creation. Some time after this, when the sons of Beorn had fathered innumerable children (who all likewise had Nomos; called the Eldmen), Lothracha noticed Beorn's interference with the world order, and found him, intending to kill Beorn. But Beorn forced Lothracha to agree to a covenant, that Lothracha would be permitted to kill Beorn, in exchange for never harming his children. Lothracha, who mistakenly believed that Beorn himself was sustaining the Eldmen, and greedily accepted the offer. He drowned Beorn in the Blood Sea, which turned red because of it, and found himself under Divine Oath to never harm the children of Beorn. This hampered his power greatly, and eventually led to the fall of the Saura, and Lothracha himself shortly thereafter.   In the Acacian religions Beorn is viewed disparately between sects. Emuna considers Beorn the righteous and self-sacrificing ancestor of not only the Beornics but all sentient races. Monism conversely considers him a rebellious creature that raped the Divine Mother and imprisons the spirits of the angels as sentient life. Semelism considers Beorn to be the same person as the Ancient of Days and also Heliand.
