He begins to talk faster as he gets more excited, his hands gesturing widely. "I say, have you been to Aerilon? Where did you study? Might I ask what your specialty is? My job while I'm traveling is to observe and document unique and potentially unstudied arcane constructs and uses! I..." He stops and gathers his thoughts for a second before continuing, slower and more conscious of his word choice as he tiptoes around his request. "I don't suppose you have anything you would like documented in the university's archives? Is there anything you have seen or experienced or learned that you would like to share with the greater scientific community, and thus the world? I would be only too pleased to take your story with me when I travel back there."

Worked under a dwarf - Mr. Mongret Caskhelm - in the town of Selsloekr on the southeastern edge of the continent. Left after 3 months when Mongret was crushed to death in a machine he was working on. Relentless does not currently remember Mongret though does remember that he had been working on a magic maglev transport device.
Havine came across Relentless shortly after he was set upon in the woods. He sat in a puddle of his own blood, slowly bleeding out from a large wound in his stomach. As he was sitting, writing notes on his slowly fading feeling and the pain diminishing, Havine trots up. She took in his fading state and after a brief argument that he was dying, ("What? No. That's not a thing." "I beg your pardon. I am a scientist, I believe I would know if that was a possibility." "No, I absolutely do NOT give you permission to lay your hands upon me!") he passed into unconsciousness. He awoke a short while later across a campfire from Havine who was watching him steadily. He explained that he is a field researcher from the university of Hadleigh and traveling to collect notes on regional arcane constructs and to form a thesis upon the regional evolution of certain arcane practices. She decided to tag along "To make sure he doesn't get himself 'killed.'" Whatever that means.
