Cottage on the Mountain

Tucked away in a valley in a far off mountain range there is a small cottage. There is a small fence around it and a lovely garden that is well kept every couple of years. The walls are old and you can see where a few additions have been made. If there is something off about the place it is that there are a number of sheds out behind it. More than normal, that's for sure. But that's about all. Inside the walls are covered in tapestries, the floors covered in rugs, and everything else is covered in papers. This isn't a well known place, but it's well loved. If you were to walk into this cottage you would feel the love that has allowed it to last. The papers scattered about are love notes, poems, and letters. They are crumpled, tear stained, foldeded over and over and revered. There are pages bound in books, each book numbered and placed on a shelf. The numbers imply volumes beyond ability to read. But no one will ever try to read them all. Except perhaps two people. The people who own this cottage in the middle of a valley in a far off mountain range. It is their retreat between cycles. The Knight's House. People know The Knight's House exists, but not where it is. The Knight travels for some of the time between cycles and then disappears for a time, leaving no hints at where the House actually is. There are ideas of course. There are plenty of places that no one wants to, or has the ability to get to yet. Who's to say what a Hero is capable of? The House may be at the bottom of the ocean for all the knowledge people have of it. So it remains, tucked away and safe, in the mountains, waiting to welcome it's owners home.

Geography

Up the massive mountains referred to as the World Walls there is are lush valleys and rolling hills. There are rivers and waterfalls and lakes throughout the region.

Ecosystem

There is a mountaineous ecosystem in place, all of the high altitude animals and plants having a great time up there.

Alpine seasons- winter from "november" to "july", all the rest happen rather quickly

History

No one knows when the cottage was built, except for the builder and they aren't telling you that. It's rude to ask someone's age. The journals of the Storytellers are all stored here, as well as the memories of the owners, until they are needed again.

Tourism

Hard to reach and harder to sustain a community the land is mostly deserted by people
