The draco-giant war

A great war which took place in Monta-ves between the ancient giants and mythical dragon will determin the fate of many races and settlements today.

This great war was long and weary, and remained un-discovered until today. The dates of the events are unknown.   Many years ago, before Orlando (empire) or The Merchant Alliance inhabited the land, Gertia was under a great war between the native giant and the invading dragons from the south. The dragons were the most powerful creatures in Terrea : a single one could change the tide of war- but they were few in numbers for a dragon egg hatches every thousand years. The giants were many, and every single dragon who fell for the war had an impact on the entire survival of the race. Seeking for new soldiers, the dragons found a new and loyal ally: they invited a human cult to their capital called “Dracau-feu”, and offered them in exchange for their humanity to become a powerful new race, immune to the harm of the elements, with a armor-like scale instead of soft skin, tall and powerful figure, sharp teeth and claws and horns. But aside of their strength, the dragons offered the arcane arts and super natural intellect of the dragon. The cult accepted, and the Dragon-borns came to existence. With their new army marching into Gertia, the giants (and their dwarfish servants) were pushed from the mountains to underground sanctuaries, and Gertia was finally ruled by the dragons. And just like that, less than a decade later, the invading dragons disappeared from not only Gertia but from Tearea as well – the capital of Dracau-feu is no an empty spot in the desert, and the other great draconic cities are empty until today. Many of the dargon-born disappeared with them, but not all – a few dragon-born were left behind without their city or rulers.   Modern dragon-borns are the ancestors of these lost ones. Today, they rose to political power and are stereotypically rich and powerful, and this story of dragon ancestors and the great capital Dracau-feu became legend. But all dragon-born have an ache in their heat that one day they will find this beautiful city, although many races have already failed.
