Ipililonr (ɪpɪlɪlɔndɾɛ)

The Alliance

The Ipililonr is a standing alliance of the Orhinr camps, first formed thousands of years ago. Collectively, the Aulas of each group meet in order to end disputes and distribute justice between camps. The alliance is enforced by biweekly meetings along the Yilainr River, which cuts through most of Orhin.

History

When the Laorena, ancestors of the Orhinr and Gahusnr, first arrived to the Brinr Mountains, they began to disperse into small knots throughout the land. Already, those who settled in the mountains began to form a common culture and loyalty, trading with neighboring camps in order to survive the harsh winters and low stocks of food and medicine.

After the Saailinpotnr began, the Ipililonr was formed as a close-knit governance of the various camps. Each Aulas maintained their own local leadership, but were nonetheless expected and required to work together for the common safety of Orhin.

Influence

Throughout its long existence, the Ipililonr has had a great influence over Orhinr culture. The Aulas of each group, already powerful and respected on their own, together are able to hold great sway over decisions made in Orhin, and the alliance allows for a common justice court that creates a swift and fair decision for many Orhinr, as well as the formation of new laws when needed. The common dialogue opened up by the meetings allows for life-saving trade or aid to be given between different camps.

Asides from this, the Ipililonr has inter-group influence. Tanali continues to be a shared language between the Orhinr and Gahusnr due to the constant interaction of Orhinr camps in during the meetings of the Ipililonr and the semi-contraband trade between the two groups it facilitates.
