Vendrien Guard

Originally the honor guard of House Vendrien, rulers of the Kingdom of Apex before Kyros' invasion, the Guard is now an insurgency faction seeking to reclaim Apex and stick it to the Empire.

Structure

At highest count, earlier in 431 TR, the Guard numbered over four hundred - their ranks swollen by soldiers of the Bastard City, Haven and Azure that survived the war.

History

The Vendrien Guard was originally the name of the ceremonial honor guard of House Vendrien prior to the dissolution of the Kingdom of Apex. Named for House Vendrien, its soldiers had a reputation for being as resilient and stubborn as the mountains of Apex themselves. Ostensibly beaten by Kyros' armies and forced to surrender in 429 TR, the Guard resurfaced in 431, brazenly defying the Overlord's rule. House Tarkis was the primary driving force behind the insurgency.
