Gender Ideals

Men are predominant in society as the stronger sex and hold most prominent roles, but women are allowed to engage and participate as equals, though they are held to the same standard in these respects. The head of each family is, traditionally, the pater familias and is to be obeyed in all things.

Relationship Ideals

Most relationships are male-dominated. Though women are not second-class citizens, they tend to take a more submissive role in these relationships.
