Revelled Alerian Church

Purpose / Function

A place of worship for followers of Aleria, but it has since fallen to near-ruin. Still, the followers of Aleria refused to remove many of the sacred items located there out of reverence and respect. Knights of Aleria reside just outside the church, protecting it from any thief hoarders or disgraces.

Architecture

The structure is mostly made of birch wood with quartz supports, and has a tall vaulted ceiling. It has 2 stories on its side passages, which once served for all the functions of a small society. It has since been long abandoned. Behind the main building is a long short building with a courtyard that once provided an area for training in the martial arts and for comfort.

History

Originally constructed during the Great schism as a small camp of the plains dwarfs, the church was added in the Epoch of Sleep and dedicated to Aleria. It was named "Revelled" after the Revel family who first constructed the church.   Around 800 years ago, membership within the church dropped off, and some churches were abandoned, so as to conserve the remaining population.   Upon the end of the Balron Invasion, membership dropped off further, and most of the remaining high priests fled high into the dedou range in secluded monk temples. A few remaining knights stayed in the southern areas, guarding the temples. Many of these knights now reside in Mydale, a small town just west of the church.
