Knights of Saint Mikael

The newest of the knightly orders of the Holy Church, the Knights of Saint Mikael were founded two centuries ago to crusade against the enemies of the Holy Church both without and within. They specialize in battling those who practice dark magics and their evil creations, often working closely with the Black Friars of the Order of Contemplative Discovery. As with their brothers among the Order of Solomon's Temple and Knights of Saint Calivan, the Knights Protector are warriors that must follow a strict Rule which is focused on a strict adherence to the teachings of the Holy Church.
The Protectors have "houses," their fortress/monasteries, throughout western Europa as well as a fortress in the Kingdom of Antioch, with their headquarters being in the Holy See of Avignon

Those who use magic in the service of evil must be opposed by any means necessary. Creatures of dark magic must be hunted.
