Sword of Yemros

A 6 foot long, light-steeled sword with a winged guard and scaled handle. Several gems imbued by the fury of the divine are embedded into parts of this massive weapon, softly glowing with a radiant permanence. By no means a simple weapon, requiring divine energy to both craft and wield, it has only been seen once. On this day of judgement, a mighty warrior angel brandished this very blade, smiting hordes of both law and chaos. Known as the Sword of Yemros, after the name given to the angel who bore it.
Little else is known about this blade, most information being taken from the ballads of the day or from the fleeting descriptions recorded by scholars present. Both providing equal amounts of value, albeit for different audiences. Although, it is considered a fact that this weapon existed, its whereabouts are unknown. Current theories suggest it resides within an obscure monument/tomb on the Material Plane, based on early accounts from followers of the angel, Yemros. Many a tomb has been raided in search of this mighty blade, but none so much as a whisper lending to its whereabouts.
To this day, mighty orders and military religious cults continue to rise and fall in search of this great artifact. The power it holds enticing both heathen and faithful to take up the task of finding and using it to some greater end.

There exists but one of these artifacts. Its story and deeds both legendary, this item is undoubtedly one-of-a-kind.
