Plains of Yorna

Far across the seas that surround the civilised lands, stories tell of a continent that remains untouched by the industrious hands of greed. Here, hidden among hectares of dense forest thrives a mega ecosystem, hosting a natural splendour never before seen outside of the Feywild. A staggering variety of both flora and fauna can be found upon the continent. Great, prehistoric beasts lurk in the surrounding depths, while entire civilisations long-thought lost to the world carve out an existence upon the land. Many stories are told of this land, often leveraging the mystery surrounding it. Sailors sometimes tell of great behemoths of the ocean, natural warnings of their proximity to the continent. Others tell of an uncharted continent with hovels that could fit entire cities, and inhabitants that can crush a ship with a single hand.    Although many of the stories surrounding this mysterious continent might be amiss from the truth, there is one story that has been told for many centuries that remains consistent in its core details. The Plains of Yorna are believed to exist in the northern parts of the great continent of Gul'nor, the home of the Savage Land Orcs. Sought after by archdruids and alchemists alike, these plains are known to scholars for its diverse fauna and flora. Many of these unique plants and creatures exist only within the plains, their existence a result of ancient primordial energies flowing through the land. These plains are considered the closest point to the Feywild that exists on the Material Plane. The surrounding landscape resembling the sprawling forests and unchecked natural growth of the adjacent plane. Creatures long-thought extinct live and thrive here, with even the more common species existing in giant forms. Without the boundaries of civilisation, or the burdens borne of ambition, nature has taken charge of this land.
