Elves


Elves are slightly shorter than humans with pointed ears and deep-set eyes of various colors. Whether they hail from the deep forests or hidden valleys, they are all born more graceful than humans, though somewhat slighter. Most elves are believed to live upwards of 300 years. They have fair skin and their hair includes all human colors, plus shades of silver, blue, and gold.

Racial Abilities

Agile:
Elves are graceful and agile. They start with a d6 in Agility instead of a d4. This increases maximum Agility to d12 + 1.

Grey Elves


Stuck-up, Overconfident (Minor): The hero believes Grey Elves are better than others. The Deity known as the Mother was a Grey Elf and first known ascended being.

Low Light Vision: Elvin eyes amplify light. Other races often claim they can see stars in the elves’ eyes. They ignore penalties for Dim and Dark Illumination.

 

Ice Arctic Elves



Low Light Vision: Elvin eyes amplify light. Other races often claim they can see stars in the elves’ eyes. They ignore penalties for Dim and Dark Illumination.

Arcane Resistance (Mod): Arcane skills targeting the hero suffer a -2 penalty (even if cast by an ally). They have grown with a resistance to all magic including friendly.

Limited Arcane Background: Arctic Elves can only be TOUCHED (only exception is for the tribe's clergy to the Mother).

Limited Cold Resistance (Mod): Arctic Elves thrive in cold. Z' An-Ya blessed these hearty people with a resistance to cold. -2 to all cold damage, plus the ability to automatically UNSHAKE from any attack done by cold.

Special Ability: NOT-Dead till WARM And Dead: Arctic Elves can not die from freezing or cold damage alone. If there body suffers 3+ Wounds in subzero temps, the elf will go into suspended animation. While remaining in freezing temperatures, the body can stay viable for up to 6 months. Only a tribe's Oracle clergy knows the process for revival. Some are known to sew Cooling Stones in their armor.

Forest / Wood Elves

  All Thumbs: Wood Elves have an inherent dislike of mechanical objects, and thus have the All Thumbs Hindrance. They shun most mechanical items and designs.

Moon Drow - Elves

 
Infra-vision: Moon Elves "sees" heat. This halves Illumination penalties when attacking warm targets (including invisible beings).

Environmental Weakness: Moon Elves can not handle daylight. They suffer 1 point of fatigue for every 8 hours spent in day light. They suffer a -2 to all ranged attacks in bright light. Wearing goggles only reduces ranged attack negatives by 1.
Moon Elves never go into arctic in summer because of justified fear of death by sunburn.
