Tree guardian fairies

Tree guardian fairies are a type of faerie native to Maple Island. They live in the lowland forests, and are famously bound by to the tree upon which they were spawned. If far from their home tree, the get something called leavers' sickness and can turn into a pile of bark if they do not return to their tree within a week. Tree guardians stand about 5 feet on average, and have green skin and hair and beards of moss.
