Farseer's Vision

The leader of the modernist orcs living in Zagrun is the Farseer, a hereditary position. Recognizing the value of shared wisdom, the Farseer rules via a council of other orc leaders, known as the Farseer's Vision. The title Farseer and name Farseer's Vision were chosen to reflect the shamanistic ancestry of the orcs, which the modernists have not given up despite their many changes from the traditionalist orcs.
The council has the right, and has used it in the past, to select a new ruler if the current Farseer is childless or doesn't have the right temperament to guide the orcs into the future. The latter form of transition is rarely peaceful, but has been instrumental in the betterment of orc-kind.
