Iota Lycanthrope

Iota werewolves are extremely rare. They are one of the weakest Lycan types, second only to Omegas, but they are also one of the most unique. An Iota lycanthrope does not change in the same manner as the other sub-species of wolf lycanthropes, in that they do not make a full shift into wolf form, or even the wolfman form most commonly seen. They don't have tails or elongated faces. They only get hair, sharp claws, smaller-than-average fangs, and an enhancement of strength. The enhancement of strength, though, comes without much of an increase in muscle mass or appearance, so they can easily still pass as just a hairy human.   An Iota is the product of a mating between an Omega lycanthrope in human form at the New Moon, and a human, but it is rare for the lycanthropes to allow a female Iota to survive. They have, but as rare as the males are, the females are nearly unheard of, and nobody can remember when the last one was seen.   Iotas breed true, and their children will also be Iota -- if they're not in a pack, usually, a pack leader will find them. They're valued, mostly because they are the intrinsic healers of the lycanthrope species, capable of forcing a shift, handling silver, and healing silver damage, as well as most lesser injuries.
