Battle of Carka River
Raia Bandera, Raia Bandera, RAIA BANDERA! RAIA BANDERA! CANTRISH AMORA! CANTRISH AMORA! Reihara Neisa! -Last charge of the Köszian Hésians, Erasmus
The Conflict
Prelude
Gitalgian, Köszian and Hannai forces move to strike the new Fedrian kingdom, they are under the leadership of Gitalgian Tenurl Omavara II. The Fedrians, under general Regàziósz musters militias from Benzen, Matàrik and Vomàrak. Including the Infamous Fedrian knights, who could challenge the Volitari in terms of weaponry, and far surpass them in armour.
Deployment
The river was frozen as it was winter, the Fedrian forces fought with their backs to the withering woods, the fedrian knights had a hard time during the battle as their heavy armour caused some of the ice to crack.
The Artemisian forces advanced in a line formation, archers in front, infantry behind them. And cavalry on the sides, the general and his unit were on the left flank of the lines.

Battlefield
The battlefield was a river running from southwest to east, the left side of the river featured a forest, though it didn’t provide much cover as it had almost entirely withered away.
Conditions
Extreme colds froze the river and hardened the ground, though, the soldiers were not particularly affected as they were accustomed to the temperature. Except for the Fedrian knights, who froze heavily during and after the battle.
The Engagement
The engagement lasted from early evening to early night, the Fedrians for the most part stayed in their position. With the Artemisians attacking two times, the most remarkable event of the battle is likely the last charge of the Köszian Hésians, the heavy infantry of Kösz, who were surrounded and destroyed by the Fedrian knights. The battle ended when the last soldiers of the Artemisian army routed, after the death of their leader.
The battle was most even at the beginning, while the knights of Fedria were delayed by the conditions. And the Artemisian heavy infantry were able exploit the Fedrian weaknesses, their poor infantry. Though, when the knights arrived, the battle turned, they were able to destroy the Artemisian cavalry guarding the flanks, exposing their missile soldiers. After the bowmen had been massacered, the Artemisian infantry were surrounded, isolated, and slaughtered.
