Svalbard Border Conflict

The Svalbard Border Conflict happened in 1300, nearly two years after Hrafn Sveinnsen Stålvingar ascended to becoming the Fylkir. The conflict was instigated when a group of Fylkirate soldiers took a shortcut through a forest towards the city of Svalbard. These forests were in territory belonging to The Eiturwood Elves, who took great offense to the presence of Fylkirate military in their land. It is widely believed that these soldiers were killed, as they never reported to Svalbard itself. 
Once word of the skirmish reached Hrafn Stålvingar, he mobilized three units of Holmsgarðr and rode for Svalbard, seeking retribution on the Eiturwood for these lost soldiers. Several battles ensued, and the Fylkirate was ultimately victorious. Peace negotiations led to the forest being incorporated into Svalbard's territory, and the Eiturwood having to render ten-thousand gold's value in liquid assets.
