Sanith Buildings

Each Sanith specializes in a form of healing: physical, mental, or magical. Physical Saniths are the most common, whereas magical Saniths are the rarest. Each section of the city has a physical Sanith building, and all but Trallengaard has a mental Sanith building. In all of Aevingaard, there are only two magical Saniths: one located in the Royal District of Aevingaard for the personal use of the Royal family and the other in the Lunagaard district for the rest of the public.    Various Sanith buildings can be found around the city, though usually not more than three per district, and they are not allowed to double-up. Lunagaard is the only district with all three forms of Saniths available to the public, but there is a growing number of Merchants advocating for a magical Sanith building to be opened in Triningaard due to the increased trading in magical items.    The city of Aevingaard does not enjoy medical privacy laws, and each Sanith is expected to file reports to the local governing board documenting each case they dealt with, how they treated the patient, and how long it took before the patient improved (if at all). The common consensus is that the more they share knowledge amongst themselves and the government, the more prepared and skilled they will be when healing the sick.   It is against the law for Saniths to charge for their services, as the local government pays their wages. However, it is not unheard of for lesser-reputable Saniths to ask for favors in exchange for their healing arts. In addition, there are non-sanctioned healers who will see anyone for any reason...for a price. These are the Saniths that service members of criminal organizations and/or other persons who wish to remain anonymous. Since they are not regulated by the local government, non-sanctioned Saniths can be conversant among any of the three Sanith professions, and often, they dabble in all three. However, it is for this reason that they are often less-educated than their sanctioned counterparts.
