Tree of Life
The Tree of Life was the source of Elven immortality. The Elves once controlled a large portion of the world. The Empire, attempting to subvert the Elves and take their rightful place as rulers of Terra, attacked the Elves. In an attempt to destabilize the powerful Elven forces, they destroyed the tree. They were successful and the Elven threat began to dwindle.
The remains of the tree now rest in the land of the earth elves.
Purpose / Function
The tree grants immortality to Elves. Elves born after the destruction of the tree have limited lifespans and look vastly different from the elves that came before.
