Healing Bathhouses

In some cities and towns on the continent of Taolas bathhouses can be found. However not all bathhouses are just bathhouses, some of these facilities treat their waters with magic and herbs. These healing bathhouses serve the public not only keeping residents clean but also healthy. The waters help revitalize soreness from any hard-working citizens as well as heal greater sickness with continued use of the baths. The herbs and fumes from the waters assist in healing any internal sickness as well. Generally, the more healing required the longer submersion is needed. There are large areas of this water that is used to treat normal ailments such as fatigue, soreness, minor illness, etc... There are smaller pools for individuals however these pools are reserved for those who desperately need the cleansing water. Generally, the individual pools are used for severe injuries such as gashes, lacerations, concussions, and other major trauma and illness. Magical as the pools are they are not perfect, no pool can heal severed limbs or revitalize the dead. In fact, undead creatures may find the water quite repugnant. 
These bathhouses are all funded through charity. Inside the building near the front, there is a slit in the wall where the donations are slipped in. This is a thin strip so that no one may steal from the facility. There is usually always a tenant around the bathhouses they serve as clerics who use their knowledge of herbs and magic to vitalize the water and boost its healing properties. They typically have quarters built into the facility as well. The bathhouses never hurt for money, it appears that everyone reasonably concludes these bathhouses are essential.
