Akabane Sea

赤 meaning red./ 羽 meaning feathers, counter for birds, rabbits. This sea is directly south of The Anasari Jungle and North of another (unnamed) Continent. The sea is a warm saltwater waterway that is occasionally covered in mist. The outskirts and the shallower spans of water are typically traveled safely, albeit vessels will need to watch out for spires of stone riddled in caves and flora.   The inner sea is much more treacherous as the spires do not stop in the shallows, however, the unpredictable mist makes traversing the inner sea much more difficult. The inner sea is also much much deeper than around the coast and it's unknown how far the spires truly go down into the depths.

Geography

Vast saltwater sea, rocky spires with holes and caverns carved in the rock, like they were underwater at some point.

Ecosystem

The sea itself is filled with a plethora of wildlife, fish, beasts, and monsters of many shapes and sizes.

Localized Phenomena

Random mist fills the inner sea from time to time, at this time nobody knows what causes these bouts of mysterious vapor.

Fauna & Flora

Tropical flora can be found on the spires above the water. Below not much is known other than the kelp and seaweed.   Akabane Harpies are a species of harpy that reside in the spires of the Akabane Sea. Most of the harpies seen are in small numbers our groups, around the coast. The more experienced sailors would claim there are entire flocks of them the further out to sea you get but people typically do not believe these sailors. The harpies rarely attack unless they are certain they can win, they do not like to pick fights they cannot win.

Tourism

The shallows are a popular tourist spot. Cruises often run through the southern coast of the Aansari Jungle. The cruses typically all come from the city of Sentinel and some from Cadia. They don't typically have any issues on the cruises, however, they need to make a wide pass when they go near Karagar. Karagar being a part of the Iron Hands Kingdom will take shots at the cruise ships as they pass if they get too close.
