Laransk

Largest of the cities in Sachan, Laransk has an old history dating back to being a summer resort for the old rulers of Vanseran during the Kavaras dynasty. Laransk originally was made as a place for them to escape the hustle and bustle of Vanseran and rest for a moment in a paradise of natural beauty enhanced by magic, over time however the village grew as the region grew prosperous and the elite spent more time in their paradise. However as this happened the nobility kept one thing clear, the flower village was to keep its pristine beauty and smell, the flowers were to remain and if a construction was deemed ill fitting it was to be teared down. This eventually created the culture of a fixation of beauty that has surrounded the city ever since, while the outer city does not always keep to the standards of Laransk the inner city still does. With its seasonal flower festival, constant flowery smell, decoration and architecture it is still a city of beauty even after Laransk has been surrounded by centuries of war.
Laransk nowadays also serves as a center for the textile industry still maintaining that image of beauty. Tamanhelt is the de jure name for the city dating back to the Kenirrik conquest of Sachan where towns and regions over time got Kenirrik names but few ever used it even preferring to use the Kenirrified term ‘Larenk’ in the past. However now Laransk is almost used explicitly except by the occasional Marr en Ken or Kenirrik nationalist.
