Seeing the success of Thuldor the elves agree that they also would like to govern themselves again and many leave The Confederacy and return to their southern forests, which they named Wildrun.

Elwindeth Gwamiel, seeing the success of Thuldor, takes her elves south. She claimed they needed to be able to govern themselves and not have to trust in humans and other races to make their decisions. The best way to do that, she decided, was to return to their homeland from before the Battle of Aludel. Many other elves agreed and in the next few years the Confederacy's population dwindled.   Most of the elves who lived in Aludel were High Elves, many Wood Elves had chosen to stay in the southern forests when the Confederacy was founded. When the High Elves returned to the forest they were met with resistance. Many battles ensued but the Wood Elves were outnumbered and quickly surrendered. The High Elves put them to work getting the old elven cities back to working order and called their new kingdom Wildrun. The Wood Elves have been considered a lesser, subjugated race ever since.
