The Thousand Years War

Military action

2500BBA
1500BBA

The arrival of humans disrupt elven magic, scarring the land forever. The elves declared war on the human settlers thinking to scare them away. Instead it sparked one of the longest wars in Tal'miron history.

Due to the long lived lives of elven leaders, grudges were not easily forgotten. The war would start to die down at the death of one of the Elathian family, only to be sparked up again when the elves took advantage of the mourning nation to strike in yet another attempt to push them out.   By 2000 BBA the cycle looked like it would repeat itself forever until a new race came and settled on the southern shores. Halflings began building their towns along the edge of the ocean, never moving too far inland. They claimed to have sailed west across the sea looking for new lands for their people, but after years it was obvious no more were coming and the Halflings were content to simply live their lives.   As far as historians can tell, the war slowed down after the arrival of the Halflings, though it did not officially stop until a few years after the attack of Ogral the Cruel in 1500.
