The Death of Thalnir

Thalnir is killed while hunting bear and is succeeded by his daughter, Maevras, who immediately begins making reparations with The Confederacy and undoing her grandfather's work.

The annual bear hunt goes south quickly when the grizzly Thalnir was tracking turned out to be an Owlbear. Thalnir was viciously ripped to shreds and his body was never recovered save for a few random pieces. As soon as she receives word of her father's death, Maevras begins writing letters to all the governors of the Confederacy apologizing for her father and grandfather and pleading with them to allow her people to merge back. The Confederacy is tentative to take them back, though many of citizens on both sides are behind the move and want the conflict to end.   The Confederacy and The Separatists slowly talk through solutions to merge their economies, how land would be divided, and other things like that. In 272 ABA Maevras renounces her sovereignty and signs accords which merge the two factions back together.   Attacks from Ogralon grow more infrequent due to the now cooperation of everyone within Aludel, though tensions grow between Aludel and Blackmoor due to Blackmoor’s backing of The Separatists during the war.
