The Black Raid on Stormside

A small fleet of pirates, lead by the notorious Dragonborn Captain Greyskull , nearly burn Stormside to the ground. The sky was filled with black smoke from a hundred burning buildings, and most of the pirates got away with little to no repercussions.

On a calm day in the summer, Captain Greyskull struck without warning. Sormside had no chance whatsoever. The pirates flooded the streets, cutting down guards and civilians left and right. Cannons fired into the city with no regard for what they hit. Buildings crumbled, crushing or trapping those inside, and fires spread quickly from one house to another, consuming those too slow to get out in time. Within a matter of hours, the sky was black from the fires and the smoke could be seen from Nordgurd (though it was too late for any help to reach the city on time.)   Just as quickly as it began, it was over. The pirates fled the city, having ransacked what they could and taking anything that wasn't tied down. The fires burned for days and it was only after the arrival of the Minotaur that Stormside began to get back on its feet.
