The Court Of Diamonds

Introduction

The South Eastern Court is known as the pious region, with much of the space within the court being taken up by monasteries, churches and the suchlike. It is expected for anyone religious to make a pilgrimage to the largest monastery or church in the Court Of Diamonds and serve at it for a significant period of time. The current Emperor, Kettle Splash, is a wise old sage who served in his monastery for over 30 years, working his way through the ranks before being chosen as the courts Emperor. The Courts main trade is clergy wisdom, writing hundreds of journals in a year that are copied and sent out through the courts in order to fund the maintenance of the religious buildings. The court is plagued by lost spirits that need returning to The Wheel, and some say there have been reports of dead crawling out of the ground.

Cities

The Eastern Pinnacle

The Eastern Pinnacle is the capital of the Court Of Diamonds. It resides at the top of Mount Tsukisasu, the mountain that is rumored to pierce the sky. The top of the mountain has not been measured, and only the most devout attempt to travel to the top. This journey is meant to be a humbling experience, where none have ever made it to the top, but many have returned before they were lost to the environment, typically extremely wizened and filled with holy energies. All sects of the major arcana are present in The Eastern Pinnacle, with especially large presences from The High Priestess, Judgement, Temperance, The Magician, The Moon, The Sun and The Star.

Enne Mu and Colsoll Tops

Enne Mu and the Colsoll Tops are two opposite cities in the eastern hills of the Court. Enne Mu is a city bored in to the side of a mountain, which is very popular with the sects of the major arcana that are close to the earth, for example The Lovers, The World, Strength, The Hermit and The Hanged Man. Colsoll Tops is a hanging city, built across many hill tops with strong foundations. It's popular with the later stages of the arcana like The Tower, The Star, The Moon and The Sun.

Incla Monts

Incla Monts is the western most city in the Court of Diamonds. It's rarely travelled to, and not much is known about its people. Due to the confusion in the wording from the arcana, the people that live in Incla mont are either purely worshippers of The Devil, or they worship the Old Gods, commonly known as "Devil Worshippers". In the Court Of Indicolites, Incla Monts is a fairy tale used to scare children, that an evil spirit will come and take them away to be tortured by the people of this town if they were naughty.

Con Alen

Con Alen is a city built in the trees. It's focused mainly on learning and is typically the place where people will begin writing their teachings or theses. This means that the most common sects of the Arcana in Con Alen are The Magician, The Hierophant, The Hanged Man, Judgement and The World.

Inhabitants - Player Character Races

Aarakocra 

Aarakocra are seen as a pious race in Taki Firma. They study for their entire lives. They work really well in The Eastern Pinnacle, because they are able to fly out from the mountain tops and explore the land around the city without having to have long travel times

Aasimar

Aasimar are often sent down by the Wheel to fulfill some sort of purpose. Many of them are just diplomats, but some of them are great warriors, but all exist in service to the Wheel.

Dwarves

Dwarves have a love of the Wheel, and specifically love to live underground, so Enne Mu is a great place for them to live. 

Genasi

Earth and Air Genasi come from the Court Of Diamonds, typically Earth Genasi from either Enne Mu or Con Alen, whereas Air Genasi come from The Eastern Pinnacle or Colsoll Tops.

Gnomes and Goliaths

There is a small encampment outside of Con Alen of Gnomes and Goliaths. Not too much is known about them although it is believed that they do not believe in the Wheel.

Human

Humans are still quite a main populus within The Court Of Diamonds. They are typically servants to the higher Aarakocran/Dwarven priests.

Tortle

Tortles often end up in the Court Of Diamonds when they perceive that they are at the end of their own personal journey. They are always open to this perception changing though, as their thirst for knowledge comes before their need to rest.
