Lost Lore 11: The Order and The Demand

General Summary

After leaving the Abbey with our two Kobold captives in tow, we headed to the constabulary while Ser took the the other two to the Grand Order of the Lion to split them up in case the Trapmaster sprung some sort of daring prison break. As we walked in, we met some confusion from the two guards on duty who hadn't ever met Kobolds before and after a brief conversation, seemed to be more motivated by not filling out official paperwork to charge what they thought to be rats with a crime in the name of the Kreastos of Frial. At our direction, they locked them up securely in a trunk, where they still may suffocate and die before we get contacted to testify or they are properly processed by their higher ups.
Ospher, let's take them over to the Grand Order of the Lion, they might have a better idea of what to do with them over there.
You don't need to do that, we'll take care of them for you, I guess we could drown them or something.
Is that the legal penalty for squatting and assault??
— Adjenna, one of the Constables on duty, and Ospher while discussing Kobold captives
You were invading, they were home defense mechanisms!
So now you want to quibble about the facts?
— A captured kobold and Adjenna on the topic of the Abbey
We returned to the 12 Carrots to get some rest then before Charity, Ospher, and my meeting to happen that evening, and of course, encountered Digby consuming more oatmeal at a table as he asked for an update on the Abbey. We explained that there was a legitimate kobold infestation in the dormitory wing and while we had cleared out and repelled them from the first floor and had captured 4 of them and he proceeded to ridicule us for attempting to hand them over to the law. We went upstairs to rest up and then get back to Bellhaven to be on time for our meeting with the Order of the Basilisk.
What do you meant dealt with?
Well four of them surrendered.
So what did you do with them?
We took them to the constables.
You BIG IDIOT!
— Digby and Adjenna on why its so hard to find good help these days.
If the Gods do still exist, they're looking down and laughing at us, holding trials for Kobolds.
Not the kobold gods!
Kobolds don't have gods, don't be silly.
You don't know that.
Why would they? Look at their miserable state in life, if there were Kobold gods, they would have done something.
— Digby and Ospher
Do you have a cloak? We all need cloaks, this is clandestine stuff.
— Charity Sparrow on Ospher not having prepared with a Cloak for midnight meetings
We discussed several contingencies for the meeting in the 12 Carrots and Ospher explained a good deal of their abilities to us before we left. We made sure that we had a few spells at the ready in case things turned sour and put a reflective mirror on my shield and set out. Frial dans nuit is quiet in the central district with a reasonable constable presence and a number of people looking to be unseen in their evening's tasks, but usually only in the affluent sections. We arrived at the fountain, which was stagnant and had a dead rat floating in it (mental note: we should fix this fountain, if only to give homeless persons in the district the ability to have fresh water).
If I turn to stone, just leave me. I will be happy in the great beyond.
I won't be happy, we need at least one potion to pour over you.
— Adjenna and Charity on possibly getting basilisk'ed
I got these from my great-grandfather's stuff, he always says these are wizard killing daggers.
Any particular reason? I think wizards tend to bleed just like anyone else.
I dunno, but he's always shouted "Don't touch those! They kill wizards!"
— Charity and Ospher, missing the point that Digby IS in fact concerned about her to some extent and he considers her a wizard
Eventually while waiting about the area, we heard reptilian hissing coming from two alleyways surrounding the fountain and two basilisks emerged, scraping and hissing though far enough from us yet that they could not affect us with their damning gaze. Accompanying them were 5 cloaked figures, each with a mask, meant to look like a marble-ish stone face and the five individuals walking with the creatures slowly approached. One of them stepped forward from their comrades and removed their mask, revealing himself as Neville, the man who spied on us from the inn lobby.
Thank you for coming, we've been watching everything you've done in the city and outside, and we're interested. We're the Order. The Order of the Basilisk, a very powerful and very discrete group of magic users and we wanted to make you an offer, because clearly you would fit in with us perfectly, or so it seems.
— Neville Morris inviting the three of us to join the Order
He extended his invitation to the Order, and promised that in exchange for our help and secrecy, they would guide us in learning new magic, provide manacite and direct us to using our power for the betterment of Frial. He stated that Frial is currently besieged by a number of different threats from within and without: The Knights of Ebon, a branch of Locklander's power abroad attempting to spread their version of Sandorite faith and hatred; the hidden Fae lurking at the edge of the city that survived pogroms and look to continue to destroy the last of the Balmoran outposts which they didn't have enough time to raze in the Queen's defeat; other Magic Orders in Frial, that would use their powers to subjugate the populace and stand above others while powered by manacite; and vampire's circle, currently led by Claudius LaRoche, seeking to spread their influence in the night and rule the darkness.
We've watched you and we feel your skills are up to par, while there's a lot of polishing we could provide you.
— Neville Morris
Ospher asked Neville then what their numbers looked like, and while Neville danced around it for a moment, discussing networks and allies, he eventually explained that the five cloaked persons in front of us were the only members. We asked a series of probing questions about them at this point: no, they don't mind us working for digby; yes, they have their own lives and passions aside the Order, but this is not just a hobby; they saw what we did at the Grace of Sandor while standing up to the Locklanders and heard about us overthrowing Illsemine, though they didn't observe it, and knew it involved Crisnos Qinbi and his family and Ser Brightshin who is one of very few Tengu in Frial; there are possibly a dozen or more magic circles in town; the biggest threat to the city is likely LaRoche or the Fae encroaching that want to see Frial destroyed (though he didn't know much of the fae organizations they were unaware of Castle Konning and Segravia's presence, nor of our magical specializations; their invitation was extended to all us knowing that all spellcasters are welcome in the circle and explained that not all of them in the circle are wizards either.
And our being indentured to Dibgy doesn't bother you at all?
Not someone we would approach for work, and we wouldn't want him to know you're in our service, but we wouldn't ask you to abandon him either.
— Ospher and Neville, on our current employment
Magic is making a resurgance and Frial is a place for that, a hotbed; it rests in the middle of the continent, it's easy to reach, its people are relatively trusting...
It's so safe that not many people even know what a kobold is.
— Neville and Ospher on the prevalence of magic in Frial
Considering my reticence and having perceived Ospher's with his questions, I asked Neville if they would perhaps be amenable to accepting us as trial members, whereupon they needed time to confer with one another. We briefly discussed things among ourselves until Neville came back and explained that they're hesitant to permit it because of how much of their personal information we would have upon our entry to the Order. I countered that they've had a chance to observe us this far and with that being the case, for them to still have doubts about the nature of our character is hard to countenance. Neville said that they won't hold exiting of our membership as having a mortal price, but we would need to leave Frial. I explained that I could only accept myself at this point, but Charity and Ospher accepted shortly thereafter, to Neville's palpable relief.
Do you think it's going good? Do they like us?
Two of them in the back are getting restless, it's possible they expected us to jump at the offer of membership.
Or that they are not in complete agreement of admitting us as members.
— Charity, Adjenna and Ospher discussing the meeting while the Order conferred
  What do you think Charity?
I kinda think I might not have to use the wizard killing daggers. I think it would be weird that we've talked so long and have asked so many questions and have to end up stabbing them to death.
Alright that's good.
That's just my gut feeling.
— Ospher and Charity discuss the progress so far
I'm not very good with people, so I dunno. It's hard to tell what people are thinking sometimes. Maybe these people are gonna have to get stabbed to death.
— Charity Sparrow
They then came forward to reveal their identities to us en masse, first a dwarf Tyrom Klogheim, a defacto leader of sorts, whose parents were part of the original Order of the Basilisk before the rebuke here in Frial, he owns the store Curious Words and is 303 years old and is a wizard, Neville Morris who we had some familiarity with from the invitation, good friend of Tyrom also a wizard and acts as the face of the group when making invitations, Norynor, a half-elven druid and expert tracker who was one of the persons impatient with us, tamer of the two basilisks and introverted, Marike Pellebon, a daughter of one of the Kreastos members and cursed with sorcerous blood, she is very rambunctious, and finally our old "friend" Giancarlo Fallon, still a grump bitch, the other impatient person and explained to have suffered some rough circumstances growing up and was also stricken with sorcerous lineage.
Charity? Ospher?
Oh yeah, if you're in, I'm ok with that. I don't live here.
You live in Frial currently.
I live in a hotel. But it's ok, cause if it comes to that, I still have the daggers.
— Adjenna to Charity and Ospher after they each accept one at a time
What would take you so long to take up an offer of a lifetime like this, a group of magicians!? Real magicians!
— Giancarlo Fallon exasperated with us
Ospher pointed out that two of the Order are very new to their powers and asked if this was just as much an endeavor to show them guidance in developing their powers and Tyrom replied that it is but its also to put power to good use in Frial. We were asked to explain our magics as they had, and Charity explained to the Order that she is a necromancer in training and suffered no judgement for it and Tyrom explained that intent is the important thing to any magic. Ospher introduced himself explaining that he has theories about how the world works and he would like to prove himself right since he gave up a lucrative career in Ghal Pelor to unearth more information about it. Neville was relieved to have additional wizards in the Order since Merike and Giancarlo manifested their powers, they weren't aware of how difficult it was for traditionalists to obtain it.
Ain't nothing dark about spells themselves; it's how you use them and the intentions.
— Tyrom Klogheim
I intend to use them to make skeleton people, kinda like that guy from the school.
— Charity immediately after Tyrom's comment, getting a stealth low five from Adjenna
Charity, you can put those away now.
I didn't bring the sheathes, I don't know what to do with them!
— Adjenna and Charity discussing the wizard killing daggers
I introduced myself after a brief conversation with Merike as Adjenna Affreux, a Cleric of Trickery. We discussed the nature of deities on Tairos briefly at point and I made additional refusal to clarify further whom I serve. Tyrom pushed onwards though, and said this was a night for celebration and fellowship. We asked about if they had contact among the Kreastos or the Constabulary and he explained that there is presently a growing distrust for magic due to other circles ostentatiously using their powers and committing thefts and abduct and ransom and fighting one another. We informed them of the Castle Konning persons that we had encountered thus far and other people that had slipped through time with it in addition to the Frost Giantess. He replied that he said a large increase of Fae lately which must relate to it and explained a few occurrences of sightings in town.
Cleric, as in power from the heavens?
One would hope it is from the heavens, yes.
There's rumors the gods are gone, they've abandoned us, they're dead. I didn't know that anybody could hear the voices of gods anymore.
— Tyrom and Ospher on Adjenna's ability
We explained more of the details of our agreement with Digby and his goal to resurrect the College of Magic, they were worried about Digby himself if he recklessly uses power or creates enough of a nuisance in town to hasten the Kreastos' opinion on Manacite. On the topic, Tyrom said that Bianca is part of their network as well and that she had explained our reaction regarding her story of having been to the moon. He said he was a stonemason in Ghal Pelor and Ghal Ankhar for a while and only in the last 20 years did he begin serious study of magic. After filling him in on Shepherd being likely a Knight of Ebon, Tyrom further said that you'll see that same sentiment from people who have given up and want to rewrite the past. He invited us out for celebrations then, but we explained we had to finish things off at the Abbey before more time went by since we had only just pushed things back from the first floor and still needed to wrap up the dormitory before things got bad in there. They understood and explained that we could drop by the bookstore whenever and could receive the tour and our "Order supplies."
Magic is being abused, and the Kreastos is loath to admit it, but they don't have much of a response. Even more, secretly, they've been trying to keep Manacite out of the city. It's only a matter of time before they make that decree official.
— Tyrom on the leadership in town
I just think he's not good with people, like I am.
— Charity on Digby
Consider it a religious question, do homeless persons need to be murdered by Basilisks in the night?
— Adjenna, taking measure of the Order members
Returning to the Abbey, there was a burning brown bag full of dung in front of the Abbey, courtesy of the Trapmaster. The kobolds had not incurred back past the the barricade, as her prior Alarm spell didn't go off and we saw no signs of it, so Charity recast Alarm and we headed back to 12 Carrots again to rest until the morning where we could gather our forces again and return. Ospher said he did some examination and experimentation on the bag taken from the Trapmaster and said it wasn't like a fabled bag of holding, more like a gateway to somewhere else. Additionally, Tadlo had spent the afternoon yesterday tinkering with the darkness-penetrating goggles to use the 4 sets we took from the kobolds that surrendered and made two larger humanoid fitting sets.
Nobody's ever said "Hey Charity, let's go get a drink!"
Geez Charity, you need to get out more often.
I'm busy! I guess.
— Charity and Ospher on having real Friends
In the morning, Charity told us that her Alarm spell had just been triggered, we gathered everyone up and set off, dreading what the efficient and deadly kobolds could have done already beyond the barricade. We did an assessment of Abbey upon entering to make sure they hadn't expanded their perimeter and noted that they had engaged in a lot of destruction, broken dishes and silverware in the kitchen, knocked over chairs and bookshelves in the classrooms and admin of the great hall, soiled linens in the shelves in the dormitory, broken pews, altars and turned over chairs in the chapel, but overall they hadn't rearmed any traps or moved their ability to engage beyond the second floor where we trapped them.
The Grand Order was pleased to take in their prisoner.
Plural or singular?
One kobold.
Brightshine, what happened?
To the other kobold?
Yes.
He reaches around in his bag with his hand and produces a small jar with a tiny brain in it.I take back to Tengu town one day, and see if they want his knowledge.
— Ser and Adjenna
We went to the staircase to determine what the second floor looked like and while looking over the stairs, a few of us quickly caught that some of them had been trapped to break and deposit the victim onto pointed, dirty sticks. While Brightshine and I were advancing up the stairs, mending the broken ones to make sure no one fell in, Brightshine heard something loud being shoved down the stairs at us, prepping everyone to get ready to get out of the way, which only Lorgan got incidentally struck by, nearly breaking his leg. As the barrels hit the ground floor, they smashed open and we saw they had slaughtered the rest of their pigs and loaded them up here to us as traps. As we got closer to the 2nd floor, I heard them communicating about their defenses, a few lines of kobolds with spears and some sort of elite infanty type with a heavy hammer and shield. We contrived a plan to use minor illusions with grease to distract them as the spell is cast to make sure they're disorganized as we enter the floor, but their hammer brother was able to keep them under control as the illusory bear ran towards them.
Something wicked is coming!
— Ser Brightshine before the barrels were kicked down the stairs
The grease spell knocked two down, charity fired a Ice Sword at one of them that fell down impaling the target killing him instantly and the explosion killed all of the rest of the six kobolds that surrounded them. It was a pretty gruesome scene, and Brightshine said he would tell tales of the efficacy of the Ice Witch for all eternity. Surveying their possessions, we saw that these kobolds had another 2 darkness beads and goggles as well as the missing cutlery from downstairs.
Oh, that was coooold Charity.
Lorgan high fives Tadlo
— Tadlo immediately after Charity killed 7 kobolds with an exploding Ice Knife guarding the stairs landing
We started down the hallway looking for traps, and saw near the corner that another couple of "ghosts" were rigged up on the ceiling as well as a couple more rigged slats. We set up to try to smoke out the crawlspace and Mend their means of accessing space behind us, and as we followed through on the plan, two kobolds dropped out from the ceiling to avoid the flames and smoke, and went after Ospher, but he slew one immediately with a Ray of Frost and then stabbed him with a fork before attempting to run away, but Ospher and Brightshine cleaved him in half before he got far.   We took a look down the hallway discerning that there were a couple of rooms that hadn't been entered at all by Kobolds and locked those specific rooms to make sure we didn't need to clear them from Kobolds right now. Before we went into the next room, we stationed Lorgan in the shadows of the linens to monitor the staircase to make sure we didn't get snuck up on. Ospher used his hat to cast a Light spell on his hat and he and Brightshine entered the room to check for traps and then checked over the room once it was determined to be safe. No Kobolds in this room, but they found three scrolls among the former student's possessions, Acid Arrow, Chill Touch and Magic Stone; two silver rings with the old school symbol emblazoned on them a pair of wings surrounding an hourglass; and one of Lielet's former companion's explorer's packs, stashed here with some bloody hand prints about two weeks old.   As we went to the next door, we disabled another ceiling spring trap outside the door and locked the adjacent room's doors again and then Brightshine opened the door and immediately slammed it closed before he was pelted with arrows as he reported that there were a bunch of kobolds within. He prepped his sword to use the spell and burst back into the room and the six kobolds within fired their arrows at him while one accidentally slew another kobold with two of them striking him. He let the spell loose and caught 3 of the remaining 5 and killed them in a terrible fire. The remaining two appeared to be making an escape towards the chest on the wall, Ospher killed one with a ray of frost while the remaining kobold was able to dodge my spell, Charity's spell, Tadlo's crossbow before succumbing to Ospher's thrown dagger.
I believe it is time for you to unleash the power of your sword.
The spell?
Yes.
I can cast it?
Unless you have another way to use it.
— Adjenna, Brightshine and Ospher discussing the tactics of attacking a group of packed kobolds
Checking over the chest carefully, Ospher opened it at a distance with his Mage Hand and a few vials of acid sprung free where someone would stand to open it. In addition to this overt trap, it appeared that the chest was part of a network of escape tunnels, which may or may not link up with the ceiling of the lower floor's tunnels, but this specifically went to the south from this towards the majority of the rest of the hallway. We checked with Lorgan in the hiding place at this point, he gave an signal indicating nothing so far there and then went to the next door. Brightshine and Ospher went into the next room again and confirmed there were no traps in the entryway. As they combed the room, a trio of living Shadows attacked Ospher and Brightshine, rendering Brightshine unconscious.
I went to scare off the Shadows from Brightshine and unleashed a Sacred Flame at one of them, burning away its hand. Two of the Shadows continued to attack the unconscious Tengu, looking to make another recruit into their ranks, and the third couldn't strike me due to my shield. Tadlo went to throw one of his magic stones at the one I struck, but dropped it, apologizing profusely. Charity hit a Shadow with her cantrip Frostbite and then Ospher used a magic missile to destroy one of the Shadows. They then focused on me, dealing me a significant blow, but I remained standing after. Ospher averted Brightshine's death feeding him a potion with a Mage Hand. He stood up and immediately swooned a bit and walked DIRECTLY through a Shadow and suffered more necrotic damage from the contact. Then from my Word of Radiance and Tadlo's Magic Stone, we slew another of the undead horrors, with Ospher Ray of Frost-ing and Charity's Frostbite killing the final one.
What happened?
Nothing cool, I can tell you that.
— Brightshine and Ospher after Ser regained consciousness
We pulled back to the hallway to rest in view of Lorgan while some other people turned over the room and discovered a spell component pounch (I thought it was cooking spices to be honest) and a very very small scroll of Feather Fall. As I sat there catching my breath, I thought I spotted Olivia again reaching for me through the floor, but I couldn't persuade her to communicate with me or remain corporeal. Checking with my friends either, we couldn't determine what sort of interference the novelle type of gate that we were told is still open could have on the area. We'll need to resolve the gate soon.   The next room was guarded by yet another ceiling spring trap that was quickly dealt with, but the room itself had the possesions and equipment of a student of Necromantic studies. Charity felt like it was a solid conclusion that the materials were not associated with Auloro's residence of the Abbey, but instead non-malign studies of the speciality. There were also no obvious connections to tunnels on the other side of the hallway. As Charity and Ospher pored over the spellbook they discovered as well, I glanced at Lorgan and he beckoned to me in hand language. I got everyone's attention in the room, locked the door behind us and went to meet him by the laundry shelves. He explained to us that there's been a scuttling noise getting louder and louder in the last hundred heartbeats or so and it definitely sounds like the kobolds upstairs are planning something.   Lorgan, Tadlo, and I went to the stairs and imitated the sounds of all of us ascending the staircase to provoke them into action and hopefully force them to deploy their traps uselessly, and it worked, a couple of their pig laden barrels tumbled down the stairs and crashed into the adjacent walls while I again led the three of us in feigning grievous injury. This excited them and in their language I heard them yip and chitter for joy as some other figure them urged them en masse down the staircase. However it was around this time Ospher called out that one of the rooms we hadn't checked yet just had it's door slam open and a shambling horde of zombies burst forth and made their way down the hall as the kobolds approached. I told Ospher and Charity to manage them the best they could while Brightshine, Tadlo, Lorgan, and I bore the brunt of the ruin of kobolds descending the stairs.   The kobolds spilling forth down the stairs were mostly the hammer wielding elite kobold fighter, but one in hooded red robes with wings that hung back towards the top of the stairs was calling out at us to surrender. I shouted back that I didn't want their kind to be exterminated and that there's plenty of space in the town for them to exist without issue but they wouldn't hear it for anything but a threat. So they attacked the four of us, mostly ganging up on Ser while a couple came after me and one each after Tadlo and Lorgan using their numbers to attempt to overwhelm us. We fought against their efforts with my Word of Radiance injuring the many that were on me and Brightshine swinging his glaive wildly and punching with his shield to fend them off. Lorgan was able to take one down immediately with his manticore spine rapier and Tadlo used his Magic Stone spell again and threw all three stones at the Aun-Kri after their prophet used a magic missile spell on Lorgan and Brightshine, removing Lorgan from the fight. The stones connected and rent the object of fanatical praise to pieces before all of our stunned eyes. Now invigorated by anger the Kobolds fought on.
Surrender to us! We will treat you kindly.
You surrender to us, we will allow you to leave with your lives!
This is our domain! We will not be forced out of it. You are in no position to beg for our surrender!
We are not begging, but we are extending the offer of life instead of continuing this slaughter.
Kill them, my elite guard!
— The Aun-Kri and Adjenna not really finding a way to work things out amicably
Charity and Ospher had a much more relaxed time with the shambling mass at the end of the hallway, they were able to fire off spells that would strike many of the horrors at once and after their first volley and whittled their numbers from 10 to 4. Thereafter, they were able to conserve Manacite and pick off the rest one at a time as the trouble created by the inert corpses now slowed them further and ultimately not one of them ever closed with either of them.   Recognizing that these kobolds would likely strike to kill our wounded allies, I pushed through their tiny mass to administer a spell of healing to Lorgan to save him further undue attention from the kobolds. Brightshine annihilated a couple of them while I did so and Tadlo picked off another with a fresh casting of Magic Stone. As Charity and Ospher moved to join us by the stairs, I saw that there was one left and went to tackle the creature to make sure we have more information for the final floor of the wing. However, I tripped, nearly tumbling down the stairs, and as Nisaba would have it, the creature tripped while cowering in fear of my size, landing me atop him as my weight rendered him insensate. I quickly bound him and administered aid and after some initial shock of all his kin being slain, we explained that we were done attempting to eradicate them from this place and if they would cooperate with their leader dead, we would find somewhere to relocate them. He agreed and said that there weren't anymore of them left and that we DEFINITELY shouldn't check upstairs at all. Rolling my eyes, we combed the stairs for further traps and went to check out the topmost floor of the dormitory, supposedly a storage area by the maps' reckoning and Lielt's retelling.
The trapmaster lives.
He is the best of us, our shining paragon.
So he abandoned you?
As is The Way.
— Adjenna, the final Hammer Brother, and Ospher, discussing the fate of their people

And above? This was your incursion to retake your dominion.
Nothing is above! No need to check!
— Adjenna and the Hammer Brother on what is left of his people within the dorm
Ascending the stairs, we heard more yips but quieter and in multitudes, bracing for the worst, we looked about with Ospher's light spell and saw what had become of the storage wing; the kobolds had turned it into their warren and it was encumbered with kobold eggs and scrabbling kobold hatchlings. Horrified and surprised, we enlisted the final elite kobold into persuding them to comply with our instructions as we gathered up the eggs and their young into boxes and began to gather them for a trip out of the Abbey. Our only thought was that as all of us were not native to Frial, we would need someone's advice to advise in relocation efforts for this brood of Kobolds, and luckily, we just met someone last night that would be perfect for giving us some advice on the matter. Thankfully the Curious Words is on the border to the Bellhaven district near Tucker St Apothecary...
Will the trapmaster help you rear children if we find him?
No, of course not. He is master of traps. He goes between clans, teaching them The Way.
— Adjenna and the final Hammer Brother
It is incredible how quickly the leader of a group of people can be destroyed and render them rudderless in their communal journey. Nisaba does not hold me to account for the death of these creatures, but I hoped that they would have seen reason in their survival as we thwarted their greatest traps. Mayhaps a place we find for them to thrive will also grant them the strength to diversify and extend their claws towards a less xenophobic people. On the other hand, I won't be surprised if this all blows up in my face. Literally.     Our group of adventurers grows ever stronger with our varied strengths and abilities. We may see if Lorgan and Tadlo see benefits in continued work with us as they develop their skils ever more rapidly than before. Also, continued work with us will surely get them more information about the Founder's tombs as we now associate with a Kreastos member's daughter.     The gate's presence most have some warping effect on the immediate area based on the history of this place. I would think we would not be remiss in seeking further assistance in shutting down the lab wing. Digby be damned, there's no way the lab alone could result in the whole structure getting condemned.

Missions/Quests Completed

The Dormitory wing has been cleared with significant effort.

Character(s) interacted with

Ser Brightshine - Has proved himself again to be competent fighter. Would that we had felt more comfortable with him earlier instead of Nicholas.
Charity Sparrow - Continues to display a mien of good judgement in high pressure situations and preparation. I wonder if those daggers are actually magical.
Tadlo Lerby - His discovery of talent in Artifice has been incredible to see so far. His skills should translate very well to the art of theft if he chooses to continue in that after we have less need of his help.
Lorgan Honeysuckle - Definitely making up for yesterday's unfortunate luck.
Tyrom Klogeim- An interesting person to consider, he lived three human lifetimes before deciding to pursue the study his parents had undertaken.
Neville Morris- I guess his name actually was Neville! He's their face to new recruits which sort of makes a kindred spirit in having to cultivate interpersonal connections.
Norynor Faemalys- Very quiet and didn't say much but was annoyed at how long we took to agree to terms of joining them. Perhaps he recognizes us as a threat to him for some reason?
Giancarlo Fallon- If I could transliterate an eyeroll, I would. He doesn't want empathy for his past, he tortures people of lower standing because he can. I foresee conflict within the Order due to his opinions.
Marike Pellebon- Strangely, I have the least to say about this person who has talked nearly the most of anyone in the Order. Does she thrive within the privilege she's born into? Does she realize how difficult other people's lives can be without the fortunes of chance?
Did I lose count, that's only 5.
Oh, there's only 5. One of the cloaks just melts.
Ooooooooooooooh! It was a stack of 5 kobolds and they just sprang apart!
The sixth guy talked about magic outside of magic circle. He's dead now.
