Racanyac

Basic Information

Anatomy

Covered with a chitinous exoskeleton. Two arms, two legs, and two antenna on the top of their head. They also have compound eyes. Unlike other insects they do not have segmented bodies. The Racanyac can have a variety of colors ranging from green to blue and purple. When they hatch, they are colored based on what caste they are born into. The color can be changed after a particular ritual that happens when they change caste.

Genetics and Reproduction

Racanyac reproduce very quickly. The gestation period for them is only 1 day before the female lays their egg. After that they must be protected for an additional two weeks before the Racanyac infant bursts from the egg.

Growth Rate & Stages

They remain an infant nine years and then progress to adulthood.

They live in, or rather under, the Ebony Beetle Savanna.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

The females of the race are much stronger, smarter, and larger than the males, because of this the females are treated with a much more luxurious lifestyle. While many of the males works a near slave-like existence.

Historical Figures

Queen Tiric is the Godlike figure that rules over her people, many worship her. She unified the Racanyac empire over 4000 years ago.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

They view other species as grotesque, while males would almost never copulate with a female of another race, the females are more likely to, though under very strange circumstances.
