Guilds and Factions

Within the capital Gald, there are a number of different places to stay, the capital is divvied up into the Market district, the Commons, the Southside Harbour, and the Grand Hill district.
The Market district is the largest district in the city taking up the western half of the city, occupied by the masters of trade. The largest building in this district is the International House of Trade. All of the trade through the lands north of the Highlands is organised in this building, and it is guarded by many well paid mercenaries, along with the town guard. There are multiple taverns and inns most notable of them are the Lazy Mason and the Fierce Guardsman.
The Commons are the slums where the poor of the city live, this region covers the edge of the east and north sides of the city. If there is any place where someone would want to hide in the city, this would be it.
The Southside Harbour is the largest port south of Argyros, and that means almost all water trade will pass through here if it wants to go inland. That also means that this area is known for its illicit trade that passes through. The largest inn in this district is the Seafarer’s Shanty which has rooms to house multiple crews of ships and has plenty of “entertainment” for lonely sailors.
The Grand Hill district is where the noble folk live. The current president and his council live here and so do the others who try to become the president, since they have the money to live there. There is an inn where typically diplomats stay as it is very nice, it is called the Merry Baron Inn.
