Research Log #129

This page contains the last entry of Airmage Aleckdani of Kelwale, a botanist from The Unition of Almusia studying the unique plant life growing in the surrounds of Sielu'montanye. Shortly after recording this entry, Aleckdani, her student Morque, and a local student of ethnobiology known colloquially as Kala (Kalanghtasaium), left the research centre for a short half-day trek into the forest and never returned.
Research Log #129.   It is the one-hundredth day. Evidently, I have not kept my promise of one log a day. I know Researcher Iardo barely has fifty logs as of my time writing this log, although his are greater in breadth and scope, covering multiple topics within one entry. I should like to keep my concepts separate, although I will not separate these musings from the below in an attempt to save additional transcription time in the future.     This morning, I observed what could only be careful cultivation of the non-edible, but highly useful, angiosperm valechyrsidae (known colloquially as 'Heart's Gold' or 'Rae'thyra'). Although I could find no evidence of a physical abode, nor could I locate any tracks that might lead to evidence of where the gardener might have headed. The small plot had been plowed, and the leaves trimmed to allow maximum light to hit the central pistil on the flower. An essential requirement for someone wishing the grow valechyrsidae for harvesting to use for medicinal reasons.     I took only a small cutting of the least fragile valechyrsidae in the plot, and have returned to the centre to better study the sample. A fool I was to have filled my field notebook merely a half-candle prior, with the sketches I have recorded in Research Log #127, of the towering non-deciduous trees that inhabit the region. The cutting is rather unique, and it is my understanding that the cellular construction of his valechyrsidae is significantly different from native plants of The Unition of Almusia. I wished to return immediately, but have been forced to consume a nutrious luncheon before returning to where I found the valechyrsidae plot. Diagram of the Nalysian valechyrsidae can be found in Research Log #___.       -Dani   Written by Airmage Aleckdani of Kelwale, representative of The Unition of Almusia and accepted researcher vetted by the High Monarch.
Full formal credit was added to the logs presumably posthumously by Mage Iardo of the King's County, upon the expedition's return to The Unition of Almusia.
