Trekalt

Cities

There are four cities of note in Trekalt:

Ryn Sól

An old and beautiful civilization carved from cliffside caverns of Trekalt's northern terrain. The stars that lead to the entrance of the underground city are dangerous and corroded away by years of wear by harsh saltwater sea. The Vasyliev family is trying to expand the city to the surface, where it can be more accessible for trade and diplomacy. Vasyliev Manor sits in the center of the growing surface city, and newly constructed roads lead to Whicsh and Anvec for the possibility of trade with the older elf and human cities, but many are still suspicious of the dark elves because of their long history of evil. There is also the Grozdan Gulag, a prison camp for the accused.

Haavarsted

Haavarsted is a sprite city nestled in tree trunks and among boulders of the Trean Wilds. If under attack, the city can become almost invisible overnight. For sprites, stealth is the most feasible weapon. The sprite city has created a diplomatic name for itself with the other Trekalt houses. They send sprite diplomats to court in order to ensure the city's interests are being protected.

Whicsh

A center for elvish culture and business in Trekalt, carved into the top of the Edennon Peaks which provides an optimal advantage against attackers. The River Elf house of Loranon calls this city home and has managed it for hundreds of years, ousting other Trekalt houses in a game for ultimate control.

Anvec

The city of Anvec is similarly ancient to Whicsh, hosting human Aglian society and the Bryfaron house for centuries. The city is built in the center of a river, providing a sort of natural fast water moat that puts the city at an optimally defensive position should it come under attack.

Conflict

Ever since the current generation of Noble have come into power in Anvec, there has been tension between the Bryfarons and the House of Loranon. The new generation is unhappy with the elves' greedy control of the Trean Wilds and wishes to seize control for themselves.   The dark elves play a small part in this disagreement. The humans are willing to recognize the Vasylievs as a valid noble house and begin trade with Ryn Sól, but the Loranon elves disagree and hold the Dark Elves' past sins against them. Whicsh refuses to allow the Bryfaron's trading caravans to pass through the Trean Wilds, causing growing tension between the houses.
