Willow Seeds in the Wind

Members of a secret cult known as the Seeds of the Willow (SotW) seem to believe that Xiwang Tao is actually Ruscar Willowshade, a leader of their group. VASTL is working to learn more.   See the SotW's main article for historical knowledge and known members.

Events

The Daeder Cleansing

On 17 Kythorn 854, the SotW were performing a "cleansing" within the Daeder Marsh when they were interrupted by a group of "anti-eternals". A battle ensued, and according to Vassal Kholi, Lord Ruscar ordered most of his followers to flee the scene. Only the lord and a couple of his vassels remained. Minutes later, Kholi heard a booming sound a saw a bright flash from the battlefield. She returned to the scene to find it completely devoid of life. Lord Ruscar and his vassals, the anti-eternals, and all wildlife were completely absent.   After the event, the remaining seeds sent a message to Lord Murdag from Vrenor to update him of the situation. Kholi has yet to year a response from him and all seeds have returned to their normal duties.   This event occurred the same day Xiwang Tao awoke in the Daeder Marsh with amnesia.

Witlan-Goblin War

In early 854, a power mage demanded Glozek "The Butcher" to invade Witlan Forest and clear out the gnomes. Prior to leaving Gasmana, Glozek encountered Vassal Kholi and accepted her request to lead his subordinates.

Tragedy at the Crafty Pegasus

On 27 Mirtul 855, VASTL entered the Crafty Pegasus magic shop to investigate the disappearance of Liandryn Quimaris. Within the hidden and trap-laden laboratory, VASTL discovered unusual alchemical equipment, bizarre botany experiments, and creatures of unknown origin. One creature in particular was clearly of an otherworldly nature, and it engaged in combat with VASTL. Prior to its defeat, the creature emitted a magical field of gravity-inversion, affecting everything and everyone within 50 feet of the Crafty Pegasus. Significant damage occurred to the shop and an adjacent residential building, and another residential building was totally destroyed. Eight people died due to either falling from great heights or being crushed by heavy objects.   Officially, VASTL was working under contract with the Directorate of Firearms, and thus were immune to legal consequences.
