Starling City, Earth

  • The city of Starling is located within the League of Island Nations.
  • Founded in the year 2012, it is an area rich in cultural and national history and is also the oldest surviving+thriving settlement in the world.
  • Starling City is famous for many things, but its most popular attraction is the Augmented Reality District, which is home to countless clubs, bars, and casinos.
  • Because prostitution is completely legal, it has become one of the most profitable industries in the ARD, and along with casinos, make up for almost 50% of the entire city’s revenue.
  • Over the years, thousands of billionaires and trillionaires have visited, lived, and become rich in Starling, giving it the nickname of “The City of Diamonds.”
  • To visitors and the wealthy, Starling City seemed a great place to live, however, residents would argue that Starling City, and especially the Augmented Reality District, are extremely dangerous places to be.

Dangers of Starling City

  • The homicide rate is extremely high compared to the rest of the League of Island Nation’s large cities, with over 12,000 murders per 150,000 residents
  • Kidnapping and holding people for ransom is common in the lesser-traveled parts of Starling, with many billionaires and some trillionaires being kidnapped and held for weeks before being let go for a large sum of money
  • The prices of food, electricity and other basic human rights are outrageously high, and many residents become homeless and live on the streets every year.

Destruction of Starling City

  • In 2458, a massive invasion of the League of Island Nations was carried out by Japan. Large quantities of missiles and bombs were dropped over many locations, including Starling City, which was completely annihilated. By the end of World War 5, Starling City had been reduced to craters, leaving the death toll north of 100 million.
