Antimatter, Earth

• While most of the remaining nations of the earth have the ability to create Antimatter, none are more efficient and skilled than New California’s Outpost 91, located well outside of their borders and far out to sea in the Pacific Ocean.
• What makes them the best is their access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment, as well as their skilled scientists and deep earth miners.
• The reason why Antimatter is hard to make for most nations is not their access to a particle accelerator as most nations think, however, New California’s most guarded secret is how they can create large quantities of Antimatter to power not only their weapons of mass destruction but also their public works and cities.
• Their secret lies within the actual placement of Outpost 91, deep underwater. This is how Outpost 91 generated massive amounts of antimatter, shipping it via deep earth transportation tubes to several military bases on the mainland.
• 91’s massive 1,000-mile Gran-Hadronic Super Collider creates 1 ounce of Antimatter per minute, which equals 1 standard Anti-Missile, or 10,000 Anti-Rounds of ammo.

Process

• Newly-made Antimatter is considered raw and unusable, but when combined with salt, nitrogen, and carbon atoms, raw Antimatter becomes normal Antimatter and can be contained using an iron, steel, and copper tube, and chilled to almost absolute zero.

Close calls

• In 2330, unstable Antimatter broke out of containment and almost exploded, which would have destroyed the entire underwater outpost. Luckily, the freezing ocean water cooled the cores down and stopped an explosion from happening.
• In 2359, a rogue scientist locked himself in the GHSC and turned it on, which created raw Antimatter and combined with the scientist, creating the first known interaction between an unprotected person and Antimatter.
• In 2422, a Pacific Alliance submarine crashed and exploded near a segment of the GHSC, damaging the ring and closing it for a month.
