Demographics

All of the inhabitants are Mud Boys

Government

There are few if any codified law in the Pipe. The population is small enough and interconnected through family, tradition, and culture that their is a general understanding of behavior and what is acceptable. On the occasion where someone breaks a taboo there is usually an informal meeting where the active participants can workout their differences in front of the tribe.

Defences

The pipe only allows two ways in or out which allows the inhabitants to control who comes and goes. The size and nature of the openings also tend to keep many of the predators at bay as the larger animals can not fit through the lower gate and the northern entrance has a small pond like structure that feeds water into the tube.

Industry & Trade

The pipe collects many treasures that float down the streams in heavy storms and the Mud Boys either use these to craft tools or they trade them as it. The Mud Boys also travel along the streams collecting things from up and down the mountain.

Infrastructure

Within the Pipe are multi-layered floating rafts that connect together through bridges and rope lines. Small mirrors, aluminum cans, and other shiny objects reflect light during the day and refract it through the Pipe.

History

The community in the Pipe was nearly disbanded when the humans removed the old culvert and installed a new one. When the old culvert was removed the humans seeing the homes and possessions of the Mud Boys as nothing more than debris clogging their drainage system took everything with them in their large trucks. As the denizens of the Pipe took refuge with other communities the decision to return and rebuild their home was decided on. Nearly all the other communities of Mud Boys came together and helped rebuild the Pipe and they held a day of races to commemorate the event.
