House of Wisdom

Such an unassuming (and relatively short) name for one of the most prominent buildings in the history of the Faelon. This library sits on the landward side of the mountain range on the Isthmus of the Fae.

Purpose / Function

It was originally built as a protective landmark for an entrance to the Library of Senesh discovered by an ancient faelon. Many magics have been worked around the inner sanctum to prevent intruders from gaining access to the Library of Senesh.

Alterations

Most alterations have been expansions in all directions (out as new wings, up as new floors, and down as basement levels) to support the growing collection of approved copies of books from the Library of Senesh.

Architecture

While Faelon often live extremely long lives supported by magic, this does not make them immune to accidents, assassinations, or other suddenly lethal moments of life. Given the long time that the House of Wonder has been around, different areas have perceptibly different architecture depending on when it was built and the architect in charge of building it.
